Getting active

There are lots of ways in which you can get active!

GO Active encourages adults (16+) to lead more active lifestyle. There are loads of activities taking place in the district - why not try Nordic Walking, join a Zumba class or try out a Touch Rugby session.

Active Women encourages women aged 16+ with children under 16 to participate in sports and has started with Cardio tennis in Didcot (7.2 MB) icon , Crowmarsh and Thame!  You don't need to have played tennis before as it's aerobic based with funky music!

For those of you with green fingers the Wallingford Green Gym is a unique scheme promoting health and fitness with conservation volunteering in the local area. Or why not take part in a health walk. The scheme is all about helping people who don't get much exercise (for whatever reason) to get out and improve their fitness. All walks are led by experienced, friendly walk leaders who will welcome you to the group and support you on your walk. One walk leader walks at the front of the group and another at the back so that all paces can be accommodated.

There are also lots of activities for young people. In the holidays you can take part in activities ranging from dance, kayaking and golf, to tennis, trampolining and netball.
