Planning Policy
The Council’s planning policy team prepares documents used to guide development and determine planning applications.
The Local Plan
The South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 sets out policies and proposals for development, such as housing and employment, and determines how the land in the district will be used.
The Local Development Framework

Our Local Plan will gradually be replaced by a group of documents known as the Local Development Framework. We are currently working on our Core Strategy and have begun work on our Site Allocations Development Plan document.
