This is in line with Government advice to make the process of submitting a planning application easier for everyone. The validation checklist advice note explains how we decide if your planning application is valid, how important it is to use the relevant application validation checklist and some general advice that we encourage you to think about prior to submitting an application. It also provides our contact details and other useful contacts.
The statement you will need to write should explain the proposal in relation to its context. A good understanding ofthe context is essential to raise the quality of the design, access and sustainability of a proposal. The Statement must show how the proposal has addressed the nature of its surroundings and how it will improve the environment.
